Each year, The College selects 10 third, fourth and fifth-year Residents from the United States and Canada and pays for them to attend our Annual Meeting. The Laughlin Fellows are chosen from an elite pool of applicants deemed likely to make a significant contribution to the field of psychiatry. They participate in all educational and social functions held during the Annual Meeting, making valuable contacts with their peers and College Members.

The College is pleased to announce the 2009 Laughlin Fellows:

Noah DeGaetano, M.D., of New York, NY, is a chief resident at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.	Ragy R. Girgis, M.D., of New York, NY, is a fourth-year resident in general psychiatry at Columbia University.
Alana Iglewicz, M.D., of San Diego, Calif., is a fourth-year chief resident in psychiatry at the University of California-San Diego.	James “Brad” McConville Jr., M.D.,of New Orleans, LA, is a fourth-year resident at the Tulane University School of Medicine.
Brian Palmer, M.D., M.P.H., of Belmont, Mass., is an administrative chief resident at McLean Hospital and a fourth-year resident in the combined MGH/McLean Adult Psychiatry Residency.	Julie Penzner, M.D., of New York, NY, is the co-chief resident in psychiatry at the Payne Whitney Clinic of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Talib Rajwani, M.D., Ph.D., of Edmonton, Alberta, is a third-year resident at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.	Srijan Sen, M.D., Ph.D., of New Haven, Conn., is the Daniel X and Mary Freedman Fellow in Psychiatric Research at Yale University.
Sara G. West, M.D., of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, is a fellow in forensic psychiatry at University Hospitals-Case Medical Center.	Mia Zaharna, M.D., M.P.H., of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, is a fourth-year resident at The Cleveland Clinic.
